Baby Harshman: Dear Emma

Dear Emma,

Hey baby girl!? Today is a special day ? you have officially been our daughter for TWO whole months!? I?m sure your daddy and I will find some time today to celebrate at Yogurtland. :)? I haven?t written in a while and so I feel like I need to catch you up on a few things. First of all, your family loooooooooooooooooooves you.? I mean really, really, really loves you!? Your mommy, daddy, grandma, grandpa, nana, papaw, aunts, uncles, cousins? all of them ? LOVE YOU.? They all cannot wait until you get here!? Your daddy and I got to return to the ?North? a.k.a the fabulous state of Indiana for the holidays.? During that time mommy?s friends and other family members had baby showers to celebrate you coming home.? Baby girl, you got LOTS of good stuff!??

?

Also, we celebrated Christmas with the fam and, of course, you were included with all the rest of the cousins when it came to gifts.? Grandma and Grandpa got you the Hallmark talking dog that responds with you read a book to it? Her name is Belle ? I think you?re going to love her!? She?s hanging out in your crib with all the rest of your friends.? Here, take a look:

Nana and Papaw got you a farm toy, so you can use your imagination to explore and play with all the fun animals (I had to hide it in the corner away from Daddy because HE wanted to play with it!):

Your Uncle David got a drum set for Christmas and I am SURE he will show you how to make TONS of noise on it just for Grandma and Grandpa when you get here!

?

Your Aunt Missy got me a beautiful mother?s ring? see that stone right in the middle???? That?s your birthstone!!? Daddy?s is on the left and Mommy?s is on the right.? Now every time I look down at my hand I can think of you!? (Not that I don?t already think of you every second of everyday and have your picture posted on my computer, phone, laptop, fridge? seeing a pattern??? You are EVERYWHERE!)

We just can?t wait to get you home!

Aunt Missy also made you a BEAUTIFUL quilt!? Oh, Emma, it is GORGEOUS.? Take a look, she even embroidered your name on it!

We even got to hang out with your BFF, Sophia!? She sees your picture on her refrigerator everyday and waves to it each time she passes.? She is ready for her BFF to get her, too!

Sophia and her mommy and daddy got you the COOLEST CD ever for Christmas!? Oh, just you wait? your name is in EVERY song!? It?s fantastic!? Your daddy and I listened to it on our 12-hour ride home...........

?

We had an AMAZING time with family in Indiana and with friends in Kentucky.? They all asked about you, said how much they love you, and they just can?t wait for you to get here!? Here are some pictures of them and of the delicious cakes we had at the showers.

But then we had to make the long drive back home to Louisiana.? The best part of coming home ? we got to unload all of your Christmas and Baby Shower gifts!? And, boy, did you have a TON of stuff!? It completely filled up the back of Daddy?s car!? We dumped everything out and made a huge pile on the floor of your room:

Jackson really misses you, too.? So much that he decided to wear your princess towel!

We?ve been showing him your picture.? He likes to lay on your blankets, so I hope you don?t mind sharing with a stinky puppers!? We know he?s just going to love you so much!

While back home in Louisiana, your daddy and I went shopping for you.? You received so many items of clothing over the holidays, so we had to get a dresser for you to put all your clothes away.? Here?s Daddy putting it together:

Way to go daddy!

He doesn?t look to thrilled at this point, but he really was happy he got to do something for his lovely daughter. :)

Emma, we cannot wait for our little princess to come home.? Your throne is waiting.................. :)

We love you so, so, so much.? We got some not-so-good news the other day.? We found out we are going to have to wait at least 3 additional months to come get you.? We thought we?d be there by the end of March, but now we may not see you until the summertime.? No matter what the timing may be, remember that we love you.? We?re coming for you.? God has put your life and our lives together, but we have to wait until that time comes, even if it means we have to wait a little longer.? We are saddened by this news, but continue to fully rely on God and His plan for our lives as a family.? We pray for you daily and cannot wait to love on you and those sweet, chunky cheeks!

The day that we finally get to look into those big, round, brown eyes will be the BEST day of our lives.? We want nothing more than to hug and squeeze you right now at this moment, but that time is going to have to wait.? And waiting we will do, until God brings us to you. :)? We love you baby girl!
